It was an honor to interview Mother Paul Marie on location in her monastery parlor in Illinois, and witness firsthand her joy and wisdom. I left the interview with a deep sense of gratitude for the calling of our cloistered religious Sisters. They are truly on the front lines of spiritual battle, offering prayer and sacrifice for the whole Church. Their life of contemplation most especially makes them a living icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary who “kept all these things, pondering them in hear heart” (Luke 2:19).
